We are excited to announce that in efforts to bring our prospective students, current students, and visitors a streamlined experience, the M.A. Writing Studies Program and the Kean University Writing Project are merging websites!
What does this mean?
- The KUWP site at kuwp.keanwritingstudies.org is no longer available to view.
- All information about the Kean University Writing Project will now be posted here to our site.
- You can visit our site to apply to our graduate program and also to the KUWP Summer Insitute.
- News and current events for both KUWP and KUWSP will be posted to our blog with respective tags.
Visit our exploration session on December 1st at 5:00pm at Kean Hall (Union Campus) to meet and discuss this exciting opportunity with our devoted faculty members.

As we embark upon yet another exciting academic year, we would like all of our returning and incoming graduate students in the English Writing Studies program to be aware of the resources available to them, as well as a new addition to our KUWP staff.
Course Schedule for Fall 2016
By now all of you are registered for the semester. But if you decide on last minute changes or are still stumped on what to take this fall, we have a variety of courses available to our graduate students. You will find a comprehensive list of said courses and their information here on our website and on KeanWISE.
Many of you are already members/affiliates of the Kean University Writing Project. The KUWP and our MA in Writing Studies Program are “close cousins”, and I am happy these two special communities have so much overlap in the work we do together. The Kean University Writing Project would like give a warm welcome our new graduate assistant Hailey Carone!
Graduate students needing help with questions about general procedure within any program should contact Robin Roebuck, the Managing Assistant Director in the Office of Student Support Services at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Spring is blooming here at Kean, and so is knowledge! Join the School of English Studies on the evening of April 21st from 5:30-7:30pm as we celebrate fellowship in our achievements–another year of research, creative work and community intiatives from both our Master’s in Writing Studies Program (that’s us!) and the Kean University Writing Project.
Come to connect and learn more about our work! Refreshments will be served in the lobby and great conversations will unfold.
The Spring Symposium will take place in the Human Rights Insitute Gallery, located in the Nancy Thompson Library (Kean University Union Campus). See you there!
Come learn more about what the Nathan Weiss Graduate College has to offer! Program Coordinators will be available to discuss our many degree and certification offerings. Staff from Graduate Admissions, Financial Services, Graduate Assistantship program, Scholarship Services, Residential Student Services, and much more will be there to share information regarding their services and answer any questions you may have. Plus, all attendees will have their $75 application fee waived! To register, click here.
