Summer Opportunities for Graduate Credit with the KUWP!

In Summer 2016, join us for a 3 day graduate workshop for 3 graduate credits!

The Kean University Writing Project will host:

ENG 5031: Topics in Composition Theory: What is College Ready Writing?

This intensive 3 day training workshop will prepare teachers (or teachers-in-training) in a new protocol called the College Ready Writing Program designed by the National Writing Project research team.

In a climate of increasing emphasis on “College Ready Writing Skills”, NWP research has shown that standardized test scores can be improved among struggling students. The structure of this training and protocol will guide participants’s through developing new writing strategies geared to the Common Core curriculum and individual student needs. This course will be an excellent foundation for all aspiring writing teachers interested in preparing students to write effectively in the 21st century.

Dates: July 5-7 (+ 1 orientation day on June 11)

For more information or to arrange for your registration, please contact Dr. Mia Zamora (mzamora@kean.edu).
